This blog is supposed to be an open journal, an honest view into what I’m thinking, what my next steps and goals are, and how my money will be managed. Not only is this a way for me to organize my thoughts into one cohesive plan, it also serves the purpose of explaining it to anyone who might have trouble seeing the whole vision. I just think as a customer, I’ve never had that kind of experience before, so that’s what I’m going to offer. If I’m going to be asking you to buy something or hire me, I want you to know where your money is going, if you care to know that is. I mean let’s be honest the real goal is that people just think the stuff looks cool and buy it off that alone, but I’m also fascinated with vloggers and influencers who let you peek behind the scenes. I think I’m attempting to take a step in that direction. If I can build a community/fan base/following/whatever you want to call it, I want them to be aware of what they’re coming for. You’ll never be able to say that I used your money and sold out. I’m telling you the plan from the jump.

I think the appropriate place to begin is probably February, maybe March 2014. I was a few months away from dropping out of college. I was confused, depressed, and I felt like I was having an identity crisis. For years I had been doing what everyone told me would be a good idea. I didn’t truly want to be in school, so I started looking for what I wanted. Back then, I thought it was simply, a lot of money. So I was looking at what I now know to be get rich quick schemes. But, I did come across one gold nugget from that time period. Tim Ferris’ The Four Hour Work Week. Truth be told, I downloaded it illegally but, hey, I got the info. I felt really inspired, and started to truly ask myself what makes me happy, what do I want, what am I willing to compromise, and how do I plan on achieving my goals?
